New Zealand answers

Can I become a data analyst without a degree?

Yes. Many UK, US, Australian, and Canadian employers hire data analysts on demonstrated skill, not degree. A short structured program plus a portfolio project and a rewritten CV is the standard route for career switchers without a degree.

What employers actually screen for

First filter: can you write a SQL query, build a chart, explain a result. Second filter: relevant experience or a project that proves the first filter. A degree shortcut never appears in the screen for analyst roles.

What replaces the degree

A capstone project on a real dataset, a public portfolio (LinkedIn or a simple personal page), and clear examples on your CV. We help build all three.

Where degree-only screening still happens

Some graduate-scheme programs at large consultancies still require a 2:1 or US Bachelor's. Standard junior analyst roles do not.
