Is data analytics hard?
Data analytics is not hard in the way maths or coding can be hard. Most of the work is checking that the numbers make sense, picking the right chart, and explaining what changed. The hard part is taste, which builds with weeks of practice, not raw talent.
What people actually mean by hard
The technical floor is low: spreadsheets, basic SQL, and a dashboard tool. Most students with no tech background reach competence in 6 to 8 weeks. What feels hard is sitting with an ambiguous question until you can phrase it as a query.
Where beginners get stuck
Two places. First, accepting that data is dirty: missing values, duplicates, badly named columns. Second, communicating the answer in plain language to someone non-technical. We spend a week on each of those.
How long to job-ready
Six to eight weeks of live training plus a capstone project. Most CPD Base students apply for junior data analyst roles in the eighth week and have offers within four months.
